Joint Intelligence Assessment

The document that follows is fiction.
I never saw the report that closed the investigation, and I do not know what explanation—if any—was ultimately entered into a file.
But if the imaginary meeting in the previous chapter needed a piece of paper capable of turning an impossible human story into something bureaucratically reasonable, I imagine it looked something like this.

Civilian subject interpreted a series of local protective measures as being personally directed toward her.
Reassessment:
No tactical protection protocol was initiated for, or requested on behalf of, the civilian subject.
Relevant Infrastructure:
Subject’s classroom is located immediately adjacent to a designated fiber-optic network distribution hub.
Physical integrity of the network asset remains the operational priority.
Observed Activity:
• Local interference within the immediate operational radius of the network hub ceased without formal administrative intervention.
• Unidentified high-school students discontinued physical interaction with the fiber-optic installation.
• No direct protective action involving the civilian subject was required.
• No evidence indicates that the civilian subject exercises command, control, or authority over any protective personnel or protocol.
Assessment:
Subject awareness of local protective activity is incidental.
Her physical proximity to a high-priority communications asset created the appearance of personal protection where none had been formally established.
Conclusion:
Protective activity is attributable to infrastructure security.
Civilian overlap is geographical and incidental.
Asset protection remains in effect.
No additional investigation of the civilian subject is warranted.
Not for her.
